Flying Across the Gulf With Falcon Aviation

This offshore transportation company has more than 63,000 flight hours.

Falcon Aviation continuously proves that everything is bigger and more luxurious in the UAE with their high quality fleet of jets and helicopters. The VIP charter company was raised in Abu Dhabi in 2006 and began Operations from Dubai with small tour helicopters out of Festival city, out of a parking lot converted to a temporary helipad.

Now the company picks up passengers from the Al Bateen Executive Airport, the premier VIP airport in the UAE and has expanded to fixed wing aircraft along with its usual helicopter charter services.

Along with VIP and tourism charter flights, Falcon Aviation caters to the busiest market of the UAE: oil and gas. The Bell 412 EP was instrumental in helping the aviation company break into the offshore transportation market. Oil and gas companies wanted more machines like the Bell 412 with the OGP configuration to transport their employees safely across the gulf. After gaining more traction with these companies by possessing the right aircraft, Falcon Aviation entered the offshore transportation market in 2007 and now operates 10 Bell 412s. With this reliable aircraft, Falcon Aviation has achieved over 63,000 hours of flight and 310,000 landings.

"The Bell 412 is a workhorse for the offshore industry in middle east and remains the backbone of our operations." Said Capt. Vinod Kumar, Director of Flight Operations. While other aircraft may lose their payload as temperatures rise, the Falcon Aviation’s Bell 412 holds its own and is able to deliver for oil and gas customers.

As Falcon Aviation continues to create waves in the oil and gas and luxury markets, the company is currently working to expand operations beyond the UAE. The company looks to expand its operations within the GCC region, focusing on Saudi Arabia with Bell 412 and will expand into Kuwait shortly. Look out for Falcon Aviation’s aircraft at the 2017 Dubai Air Show and gliding over the Arabian Gulf.

Thinking above and beyond is what we do. For more than 80 years, we’ve been reimagining the experience of flight – and where it can take us.

We are pioneers. We were the first to break the sound barrier and to certify a commercial helicopter. We were aboard NASA’s first lunar mission and brought advanced tiltrotor systems to market. Today, we’re defining the future of on-demand mobility.

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas – as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Textron Inc., – we have strategic locations around the globe. And with nearly one quarter of our workforce having served, helping our military achieve their missions is a passion of ours.

Above all, our breakthrough innovations deliver exceptional experiences to our customers. Efficiently. Reliably. And always, with safety at the forefront.
